The Story Behind the Store
The Thach store was imagined as a reflection of the Cape itself - layered with history and family. Inside, you’ll find my brother’s surfboards still dusted with sand from Nauset, old family photos of my grandparents and their friends from the neighborhood, and pieces pulled straight from their home - the chandelier that once hung above their dining table, the swordfish from the barn, still flecked with moss. Mid-century furniture sourced from Wellfleet and Eastham sits alongside coffee table books by Slim Aarons and Ralph Lauren, photos of the Kennedys, and shells from the beach just a mile away. A sofa and an acrylic Connect 4 invite people to linger. These objects aren’t just decoration - they help shape the space and the feeling we wanted to create, a backdrop for the brands we love and for our own in-house pieces to live.
It’s part store, part home - a living collage of Cape Cod memories, past and present.
